This article is a review of the active board. One thing that was completely different than the smart board is that it does not have a touch screen, you can only use tools. This is helpful because when you are pointing to the board, or if a child touches it it won't go to the next page or mess something up. However, it can also be a con because it is not as interactive if you have to use tools. If several kids come up to the board and are doing an activity they will have to switch off tools instead of just use their fingers. Interactive white boards, despite their small differences between brands, are making a huge difference in the learning of students today. The Active board is an efficient and fun tool to use in the classroom.
